Are you weight-conscious about your Tray Canopy Setup?
Do you never see yourself needing to remove the canopy and have access to a tray?
Then this could be a suitable setup for you!
Introducing the newly released 1700mm Aluminium Service Body by Trojan Canopies. NOW AVAILABLE AT ALL FOUR X 4 SPARES!
There are a couple of main reasons why you might decide to choose the chassis-mount canopy option.
1) Weight!
If you plan on towing a van or you're close to your GVM or GCM, choosing the chassis-mount option will save you roughly 80 kilos compared to a tray and lift-off canopy.
2) Do you really need to remove your Canopy?
The second thing to consider is whether you actually plan on removing the canopy itself.
Many ute owners who buy tray lift-off canopies don't actually remove their canopies to utilise their trays.
If you don't plan on doing that, choosing the chassis-mount option will save you a few dollars.
What are the Key Features?
Now, here is a quick run-through of the key features of the chassis mount canopy.
The overall length is 1,700mm, which is a great length to maximise space without being too long for the chassis itself.
Some key features to note are very similar to the tray with lift-off canopy options.
All still come standard with underbody toolboxes and rear trundle drawers.
As far as the canopy design goes, it still has your flush floor, uni strut design, and door lock covers.
Trojan Canopies kept the design very similar to the lift-off canopy so you can opt for any of our internal fit-out options, just as you would with the lift-off canopy.
Hopefully, that gives you a quick run-through of the chassis-mounted design.
