This is a new Gearbox to Transfer Case Bypass Hose to suit Toyota Landcruiser 40, 60 & 75 Series to 1999 and Hilux to 1997. This hose runs from filler plug to filler plug and is used to equalize the pressure between the two gear cases when there is a seal failure resulting in oil transfer issues between them. The fitting on both ends of this hose are 360 deg swivel type to allow best positioning of the hose to prevent rubbing or snagging on obstacles. Washers included.

Good Product, BUT
Good Idea for a product as Toyota got this run wrong with their pumping of oil from gearbox to transfer, meaning gearbox runs dry on long drives. All parts on it are very good, however the hose pulled off when of the ends when I was taking my ute through the Mallee (could've been a stick grabbing on, still). This meant I lost a lot of oil. However now I've just put a hose clamp on where hose meets the fittings. So I would do this before installing it just to be sure.

Good Idea, Just Not Quite There
Hose was way too long for my vehicle, cut almost 1/2 of it off, better too long than too short. The hose barbs needed clamps which aren't supplied, otherwise the hose is was a bit too free of a fit for my liking. Biggest headache though was the supplied fitting was too small for the transfer case on a 75 series LC and I couldn't use it. Had to drop by a hydraulic shop to get a bigger one. All in all a good idea, but it wasn't a simple fit it and go exercise.

Definitely helped in regard to gear shifting Was having trouble changing down through the lower gears the bypass hose freed them up
